In Canada there are two ways to purchase contacts online:
You have an existing prescription
If you received prescription from an optometrist within the past two years, it is still valid for buying contacts online. If it’s older than two years (or if you have no contact prescription), simply book an appointment with your optometrist (directory of Canadian optometrists).
You don’t have a prescription
For health and safety reasons you cannot buy corrective (prescription) contact lenses online without a valid prescription. You can however purchase cosmetic contact lenses such as anime contacts and Halloween contacts.
Colored Contact Lenses Without Prescription
Coloured lenses can be either corrective or cosmetic. As mentioned above, only cosmetic colour contacts can be ordered without a prescription.
